Prepare yourselves. You’re going to need a minute.
Vanessa will play the sassy Rizzo and Julianne will play the lovely Sandy in the Grease live musical. This is epic.
“‘Grease’ is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy” Julianne said, according to our sister site Variety
“Being Rizzo is something I’ve never imagined, and I love that because it will be a new challenge,” continued Vanessa. “I cannot wait to bring her to life on live television. I’m going to be a Pink Lady!”
We all remember Vanessa as Gabriella from her High School Musical days. This will be her first musical since the third movie in 2008. Julianne starred in the musical Rock of Ages in 2012 and has been serving as a guest judge for Dancing With the Stars.

Hudgens is, in person, approachable. She doesn’t sulk or ask for special treatment. It is hard to distinguish the playful laughter she delivers while in character at rehearsals from the giggle she offers in conversation.
“Vanessa’s just a ball of happiness,” says actress Laura New, a close friend. “I’ve never seen her grumpy.”
“She is literally the warmest, sweetest person in the world,” adds Victoria Clark, the stage vet who plays Gigi’s grandmother in the production.
